Glow & Sculpt Facial

The Glow & Sculpt Facial is a hands-on treatment focused on facial tension, movement through the tissues and the visible effects that can follow skilled massage.

External facial massage is combined with techniques such as facial cupping and gua sha. These are used in a controlled way to work through areas that feel tight and support a fresher, temporarily more defined appearance.

This is not an injectable or structural facial-altering treatment. Changes in contour and puffiness are naturally more subtle and temporary. I adapt the pressure, techniques and areas of focus according to your comfort, the condition of your skin and where tension is most noticeable.

Suitability

Because this is a hands-on facial treatment, I consider both the skin and any recent procedures affecting the face before deciding which techniques are appropriate.

Treatment may need to be adapted, postponed or avoided where there is:

• Active skin infection or cold sores
• Broken, inflamed, sunburnt or significantly irritated skin
• Significant unexplained facial swelling or pain
• Fresh bruising
• A condition or medication that significantly increases bruising or bleeding
• Recent surgery or another procedure where pressure should be avoided

Recent treatments & procedures

Please mention recent:

• Dermal fillers or other injectables
• Thread treatments
• Microneedling or chemical peels
• Laser, IPL or other energy-based treatments
• Facial surgery
• Other intensive facial procedures

If you have had a treatment since your last HEXIE Beauty consultation or appointment, please mention it before your Glow & Sculpt Facial. Pressure or massage may need to be avoided around recently treated areas.

Before your appointment

Avoid arriving with actively irritated, damaged or sunburnt skin.

If anything has changed since your last visit, including your health, medication or recent facial treatments, please tell me before treatment.

Immediately afterwards, the face may look fresher, less puffy or slightly more defined. Many clients also notice that areas of tension feel more relaxed.

These visible sculpting effects should be understood as temporary rather than permanent structural change. How noticeable they are varies according to facial tension, puffiness, anatomy, lifestyle and individual response.

Mild temporary flushing, warmth or tenderness can occur. Facial cupping can occasionally leave temporary redness or marking, particularly on skin that marks easily, although the technique is kept controlled.

Regular treatments may be useful where facial tension repeatedly returns, but frequency should be based on the individual rather than the idea that more treatment automatically creates better results.
