About the treatment

Understanding Clinic Consultation

What Is a Clinic Consultation?

The Clinic Consultation is a complete first appointment for new clients and anyone who is uncertain which treatment to choose. It combines a review of your completed consultation form, an in-clinic discussion, professional skin assessment, personalised treatment planning and a suitable basic facial.

How Does It Work?

Before your appointment, you will complete the required consultation form so that your skin history, health, medication, current routine and concerns can be reviewed. During the appointment, your skin is assessed and the most suitable approach is discussed before a basic facial is performed. Where an advanced treatment is appropriate, it may be offered as an optional upgrade, with any additional cost agreed before proceeding.

Treatment benefits

Clinic Consultation

Removes the Pressure of Choosing a Treatment

You do not need to decide which facial or advanced treatment to book before attending. Your options are discussed after your consultation and skin assessment.

Provides a Complete Professional Assessment

Your skin concerns, current condition, skincare routine, health information and previous treatment experience are considered together rather than viewing one concern in isolation.

Creates a Personalised Treatment Plan

You will receive clear professional guidance on the treatments, home-care priorities and next steps that are most appropriate for your skin and goals.

Includes a Suitable Basic Facial

The listed appointment price includes a personalised basic facial selected according to your skin condition and what can be performed safely during the appointment.

Allows an Optional Same-Day Upgrade

Where an advanced treatment is appropriate and sufficient appointment time is available, you may be offered the option to upgrade your treatment on the day.

Provides Clear and Transparent Pricing

No additional treatment cost will be added without discussion. The recommended treatment, expected benefit and additional price will be explained before you decide whether to proceed.

Personalised and considered

Suitability & Safety

Not all conditions that may affect treatment suitability are listed here. Your safety, skin health and long-term results will always come first.

Treatment may need to be adapted, postponed or declined if you have:

An Incomplete or Inaccurate Consultation Form

Your consultation form must be completed honestly and accurately before treatment. Missing information about health conditions, medication, allergies, pregnancy, skincare or previous treatments may prevent a suitable treatment from being performed.

Active Infection, Cold Sores or Broken Skin

Treatment may need to be postponed if there are active cold sores, infection, open wounds, weeping skin, significant irritation, sunburn or another condition affecting the treatment area.

Active or Uncontrolled Skin Conditions

Inflamed acne, active rosacea, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis or another skin condition may require the appointment to be adapted or limited to consultation and gentle supportive care.

Medication, Allergies or Health Considerations

Prescription medication, isotretinoin, retinoids, antibiotics, blood-thinning medication, allergies, medical conditions and anything that may affect sensitivity or healing must be disclosed.

Recent Facial or Cosmetic Treatments

Recent peels, microneedling, laser treatment, waxing, threading, injectables, surgery or another advanced procedure may limit which treatment can be performed safely during the appointment.

Pregnancy, Breastfeeding or Unsuitable Same-Day Treatment

Pregnancy or breastfeeding may affect product and treatment selection. An advanced treatment will not be performed simply because it was requested; it will only proceed where consultation, suitability, timing and professional protocol allow.

Your appointment

What to Expect

Complete Your Consultation Form

Before attending, complete the required consultation form with accurate information about your skin, health, medication, allergies, skincare routine, previous treatments and current concerns.

Consultation & Skin Assessment

During your appointment, your form is reviewed and your concerns, expectations and goals are discussed. Your skin is then professionally assessed to identify its current condition and treatment needs.

Personalised Treatment Selection

A suitable basic facial is selected and included within the appointment price. Where an advanced treatment is appropriate, the treatment plan, expected response and any additional cost are explained before you decide whether to upgrade.

Treatment, Aftercare & Next Steps

The agreed treatment is performed before personalised aftercare and future recommendations are provided. You will leave with a clearer understanding of your skin and the most appropriate next steps.

After your appointment

Results & Recovery

Immediately After Your Appointment

Your skin may look fresher, cleaner and more hydrated following the included basic facial. The immediate response will depend on your skin and whether you choose to upgrade to an advanced treatment.

During the Following Days

A basic facial usually involves little to no downtime, although temporary redness or sensitivity may occur. Recovery may be different if an advanced treatment is performed, and this will be explained before you proceed.

Your Personalised Skin Plan

One of the most important outcomes of the appointment is a clearer understanding of your skin, treatment suitability and the professional steps recommended for your individual concerns.

Ongoing Treatments and Progress

Some clients may only need occasional maintenance, while others may benefit from a structured course or changes to their home routine. Recommendations are personalised and results vary according to your skin, consistency and the treatment selected.

Supporting your skin

Post-Treatment Care

Follow the Aftercare Provided

Your aftercare will depend on the facial or advanced treatment performed. Follow the personalised instructions given during your appointment rather than applying general advice from another treatment.

Keep Your Routine Gentle

Unless advised otherwise, use a mild cleanser, suitable moisturiser and the products recommended for your skin while it settles. Avoid harsh scrubbing or unnecessary exfoliation.

Protect Your Skin From UV

Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher and limit excessive sun exposure. Sun-protection guidance is particularly important where exfoliation or an advanced treatment has been performed.

Pause Active Skincare Where Advised

Retinoids, exfoliating acids, benzoyl peroxide and other strong active products may need to be paused. Restart them only according to the guidance provided for your treatment.

Avoid Additional Treatments Too Soon

Do not immediately book waxing, threading, peels, microneedling, laser treatment or another advanced procedure without checking the recommended treatment spacing.

Monitor Your Skin and Ask for Guidance

Temporary redness or sensitivity may occur depending on the treatment performed. Contact HEXIE Beauty if you experience an unexpected reaction, worsening irritation or uncertainty about your aftercare.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ's

Who is the Clinic Consultation for?

The appointment is designed for new clients, anyone unsure which treatment to book, or existing clients whose skin, concerns or circumstances have changed and who would benefit from a fresh professional assessment.

Yes. The required consultation form must be completed before your scheduled appointment. It provides important information about your skin, health, medication, allergies, skincare routine, previous treatments and goals so that your appointment can be planned safely.

What is included in the listed price?

The listed price includes review of your completed consultation form, an in-clinic consultation, professional skin assessment, personalised treatment planning and a suitable basic facial performed during the appointment.

Yes. A suitable basic facial forms part of the appointment price. The products and treatment stages are selected after consultation and assessment according to your skin condition and suitability.

Can I have an advanced treatment on the same day?

An advanced treatment may be offered where it is suitable, safe, supported by the relevant protocol and possible within the appointment. It cannot be guaranteed before your consultation and skin assessment have been completed. Subject to availability.

Will an advanced treatment cost more?

Yes, an additional charge may apply if you choose to upgrade from the included basic facial to an advanced treatment. The treatment and full additional cost will always be explained and agreed with you before anything is changed or performed.

Do I have to accept the recommended upgrade?

No. Any advanced treatment upgrade is optional. You can continue with the included basic facial, and no additional treatment or charge will be added without your agreement.

What happens if no treatment is suitable on the day?

Should I book this if I already know which treatment I want?

Where you are confident about the treatment you require and have already completed the necessary consultation process, you may book that treatment directly. Choose the Clinic Consultation where you are new, uncertain, have several concerns or would like professional guidance before deciding.

What should I bring or prepare for the appointment?

Complete your consultation form in advance and provide accurate details about your medication, allergies, skincare products and recent treatments. Where possible, bring or photograph the skincare products you currently use so that your routine can be reviewed accurately.
